Ho Chi Minh city tour
- AM. A morning drive will take you to visit the Reunification Palace. From here the tour visits the Museum of War Remnants which provides a very partial, but riveting, perspective of the ‘American War’. Explore the huge Ben Thanh market, one of the liveliest areas of Ho Chi Minh City and packed with every conceivable commodity. Then your tour takes you to the beautiful Notre Dame Catholic Church.
- PM. Enjoy your lunch at a local restaurant, and continue your tour to the Jade Emperor Temple. It is one of the best Taoist temples in Vietnam, with superb effigies, remarkable carved panels of the “Descent to Hell” and somewhat incongruous terrapin and tortoise sanctuaries. Continue your tour to Thien Hau Temple which is a Chinese style temple dedicated respectfully to Thiên Hậu the “Lady of the Sea”, located in Chinatown. Complete your city tour with a visit to a lacquer workshop to see the complex processes and meticulous workmanship involved in this traditional Vietnamese craft product.
