Itinerary
1
Day 1: Hanoi arrival (D)
Upon your arrival, a private transfer is waiting for you at the air port to take you to Hanoi centre. After 45 minutes driving, you check in hotel in Hanoi. Your free easy time until evening, a welcome dinner is prepared at local restaurant for your first touch of Vietnamese cuisine. Then you will have ticket(s) for water puppet show at Thang Long Theatre.

Day 2: Hanoi – Halong Bay 1 day trip (B,L)
AM: We come to pick you up at your hotel from 8h00 for 3.5 hours bus ride through the country side of the Red River Delta to Ha Long City. Water buffaloes, paddy fields (rice transplanting time: February and June) and daily Vietnamese farmer life are on both sides of the way.
PM: Arrive in Halong City around noon, we board a traditional wooden junk and start the cruising trip to the centre of the bay. Fresh seafood lunch (vegetable menu available) is served while the boat is gliding out. Get ready for exotic photos and absorbing the most magnificent natural splendors, limestone bedrocks and sheer cliffs of tiny islands highlighted with fanciful names: Fighting Cocks (symbol of Halong Bay), Duck, Finger, Incense Burner, and Stone Dogs.
Stopping for a rowing boat trip around Ba Hang Floating village then keep cruising to the most beautiful cave named Thien Cung (Heaven Palace Grotto) and explore huge chambers adorned with stalactites and stalagmites of all kinds. Continue to enjoy this relaxing cruise on the way back to Ha Long harbor, our waiting vehicle transfers you back to Hanoi. Trip ends at your hotel around 19h30.

Day 3: Hanoi – Hoa Lu – Tam Coc (B,L)
In the morning, South Pacific’s driver and guide will pick you up to travel to Hoa Lu – the former capital of Vietnam , about a two-hour drive from Hanoi . On arrival, you will visit two temples, one of them dedicated to Emperor Dinh and the other in memory of Emperor Le, followed by a brief visit to the remains of the Old Palace . Feel ready to star our cycling for one more hour to Tam Coc (12km), passing scenery of paddy fields or small stream. You will have lunch in Tam Coc, enjoy the taste of Vietnamese cuisine.
After lunch at a local restaurant, you will visit Tam Coc (three caves), a peaceful valley among limestone ‘karst’ hills, There, you will be rowed along a gentle river between paddy fields and through the caves. In the late afternoon, you will return to Hanoi for overnight.

Day 4: Hanoi departure (B)
Upon your flight time, our driver will take you to the air port for flight back home.
